We may also look at scrimmaging during our Sun practice time sometime.  We will let parents know.

Open dates for Team Bonding

We would like to have a team bonding night.......I think to make a good team there needs to be a spirit of giving of yourself for others, so the first half of bonding will be ringing the Salvation Army bell in Marion for 2 hours.  Yes cold, but we are not wusses :).  The second thing is that we need to have a little lighthearted fun, so that we can balance that we will work their tails of at practices.....so the second half will be movie night at my house.

Please let me know if you have a Friday night free between now and Christmas.  If not, we will try for a different day.  Please answer in the comments below.

Jerseys

We need to make a decision about jerseys for the club season.  The girls showed interest in cotton tshirt or sleeveless tshirt jerseys (like middle school style) for this season, but the costs would have to come from the kids because this is a team decision not a club-wide decision.  They could be around 12-15 $ and could be whatever style and color we would want.  As always, we will not let money be an issue so if this would be difficult for you, please see me privately.  So, here is the info we would need by Wednesday of this week:

And then there was the day Coach Tiel went all techy

So Rachel and I thought that perhaps some sort of interactive form of communication between coaches, athletes, and parents would be handy.  We all know that the girls are great at texting but not all that great at talking to their parents about what has been texted!!  And.....I only know "L augh O ut L oud" so I am kind of out of the loop when big time texting starts occurring. 

So here it is, our own little Club Vball blog.  Rach and I will do the official posting and you all can do any sort of commenting - just remember - all eyes can see it all!!!  Photos can be uploaded, schedules can be printed, and hotel information can be accessed any time day or night.  Obviously, keep it positive.  This is not a place for critique of the season.....just a little info sharing. 

For starters - here is the basic schedule:

WEDNESDAY 6:30-8 :  OPEN GYM.  OPTIONAL. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES AS THIS IS AN EVENING KEPT OPEN FOR THAT REASON.  HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE NO RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES, IT WILL BE GREAT TO SEE YOU THERE!

SUNDAYS 4-6:  PRACTICE.  VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE FULL TEAM PRACTICE AT THIS TIME EACH WEEK.  IT WILL BE OUR ONLY REGULAR PRACTICE TIME. 

SUNDAYS 6-7 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):  SETTERS, BACK UP SETTERS, AND LIBEROS TRAINING.
